- 1-2 medium boiled potatoes
- 1-2 slit green chilli,
- 2 roughly chopped green chilli
- 1/2 tsp Onion seeds
- 1 medium Tomato
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 2-2.5 cup water
- as required Oil for frying kofta
- 2 tbsp oil for curry
Instructions to make to make Daal Kofta Curry
- Grind soaked Dal + green chilli into smooth paste. Try to grind Daal by adding extremely less water. Batter can’t be soggy.
- Cut boiled potatoes into cubes and finely chop tomatoes.
- Now make small size kofta and deep fry till golden brown and keep aside.
- Now in moderately heated pan, add oil, add onion seeds and allow to crackle, then add tomatoes and sauté for 1 minute.
- Then add potato cubes + green chilli and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Now add all dry spices and stir fry by adding 3-4 tbsp water and stir fry till spices leaves oil.
- Now add water and give 3-4 times boil.
- Now add mashed from 2-3 potato cubes and mix well so that gravy turns thick.
- Add 10 -12 koftas and give 3-4 times boil.
- Now kofta curry is ready.
- Daal kofta curry is ready to serve, serve with rice / roti.
